The post holder will have responsibility for the daily operational management of the Womens & Childrens Directorate, leading the Directorate alongside the Clinical Director and Matron, and working with the Associate Director of Midwifery to deliver high quality, safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. This is an exciting time for the Surgical Division at Wye Valley NHS Trust. In 2024, we opened our new Elective Surgical Hub and throughout 2025, we will continue on our journey to make significant positive change to our planned care pathways, building on the productivity and patient experience improvements we have already made. To this end, the successful candidate will lead key service improvement workstreams within their Directorate. Our Maternity service also forms a key part of the Womens and Childrens portfolio, making this position unique within the Trust. More broadly, the successful candidate will ensure key operational targets are delivered, alongside ensuring robust governance arrangements are in place. About us
