Our General Manager at Indigo York should be supportive, proactive, analytical, and entrepreneurial; creating extraordinary experiences for our guests, fostering an empowered environment for our Splendid Family Members, whilst working closely with all key business partners to drive and achieve quality results. The General Manager acts as an ambassador for Splendid Hospitality Group, reflecting the company culture and values. Our General Manager at Indigo York reports directly to the Regional General Manager. The role requires an energetic leader who will inspire and enable the team to deliver for our guests and clients. As General Manager, you will be fully accountable for exceeding guest expectations and achieving the hotel's financial goals. Key Responsibilities

Support, coach and challenge HODs to encourage effective decisions. Coaching, mentoring, and developing members of the team. Control payroll in line with budget on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Collaborate with non-operational departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Revenue to drive profit and maximise revenue. Ensure the smooth running of the hotel, managing all areas of the business and delivering the highest levels of guest service experience. Work proactively with all key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort. Develop and implement strategies where key hotel metrics are identified, communicated and delivered. Manage and review the life cycle of the team within the hotel, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance. Own the hotel budget, business and sales plan, ensuring all areas of the business are controlled. Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and business partners. Engage with the local community to drive hotel and commercial awareness. Ensure adherence to all legislation and best practice activities. Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams and business opportunities. Explore business strategies with a thinking outside the box attitude. Be a strong all-round character who can tackle all areas of the business. What We Offer

To be considered for this role, you must have current experience as a Hotel or General Manager within a hospitality environment. Key Experience Include: Proven experience as a General Manager, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive sales. Ability to take appropriate action where necessary and get fully engaged in budget setting. A proven ability to work within a matrix organisation alongside key stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of the local market and a solid network within the industry. Expertise in business planning and developing innovative initiatives to enhance guest experiences. Up-to-date knowledge of statutory obligations, including health and safety compliance. Exceptional people management skills, with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
