I am working with a council in Scotland on a General Practice Surveying position that will be looking over a range of different types of asset. The ideal candidate will be RICS and expected to have a good understanding of the following:
Valuation : Conduct property valuations for asset management, rent reviews, and compensation.
Estate Management : Optimise land and property usage, ensuring effective performance of assets.
Planning and Development : Advise on land use, planning applications, and support development projects.
Compulsory Purchase : Assist in land acquisition through compulsory purchase orders, including compensation assessments.
Disposal and Acquisition : Manage the sale, lease, or purchase of land and properties.
Budgeting and Financial Management : Oversee property-related budgets and assess financial viability of projects.
Sustainability : Promote environmentally sustainable practices for property management and development.
Strategic Planning : Advise on long-term property management strategies and policies.
Public Engagement : Engage with local communities and stakeholders on property matters.
