General Practitioner (Partner) - Builth Wells Medical Practice

As a GP you will care for a population with diverse needs, and provide high-quality care for all our patients in accordance with local and national guidelines. The successful candidate must function well within a team, and be prepared to support the development of junior staff, both clinical and administrative. Experience as a Clinical Tutor for medical students is desirable but not essential. Main Duties of the Job

Duties of the appointed GP include: Maintaining professional knowledge and standards of behaviour. Consulting with patients in regular booked surgeries and book-on-the-day sessions as duty doctor. Carrying out home visits when appropriate. Carrying out administrative tasks, e.g., signing prescriptions and making referrals, in a timely fashion. Taking an active role in Partnership discussions and decision-making. About Us

An opportunity has arisen for a GP to join our Partnership at Builth and Llanwrtyd Wells Practice. We have a patient list of just over 7500, which has been fairly stable for years, at a long-established Practice. The Practice is committed to providing good-quality care, we prefer to have GPs rather than PAs available to our patients. We are currently seeking six sessions a week but can be flexible; we plan to expand the Partnership, in order to maintain a good work-life balance. Builth Wells is a rural town in Mid Wales, famous as the setting of the annual Royal Welsh agricultural show. The town nestles next to the Wye Bridge, affording spectacular views of the valley. Llanwrtyd is the smallest town in Britain, famous for its Bog Snorkelling Championship, and Man Vs Horse race. Foodies have an abundance of restaurant choices in the area, with several Michelin-starred establishments within an hour's scenic driving distance. Job Responsibilities
