General Supply Teacher

Are you a skilled and adaptable educator looking for exciting teaching jobs? Hays are currently seeking passionate and committed Supply Teachers to join our reputable educational institution. We recruit to over 80% of schools in the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire area. We offer a wide range of staffing solutions to local primary schools, including ad-hoc day-to-day supply, long-term cover and permanent appointments.

Supply teachers play a crucial role in supporting schools during critical periods by offering specialised subject cover or general teaching assistance when regular staff members are absent. The duration of these jobs may vary, and many temporary positions serve as potential pathways to more permanent teaching opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and grade levels in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Following the school's curriculum and ensuring continuity in student learning during their absence.

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Providing feedback on student progress and communicating with regular teachers and school staff as needed.

Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to different school settings and teaching styles.

What you'll need to succeed:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.

Experience in teaching and classroom management.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Adherence to professional standards and commitment to student development.

This is a fantastic opportunity, working in some excellent schools.

As a Hays Supply Teacher, you will receive:

A day rate of up to £150 per day in addition to holiday pay.

Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals.

£250 vouchers once you've worked with Hays for 20 days.

£250 vouchers for referring a friend who completes 20 days work via Hays.

Regular salary through our guarantee scheme.

Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals.

Flexibility - we can offer temporary, short term, long term or permanent work.
