Job description Generator Hire Engineers WB Power Services is currently recruiting Generator Hire Engineers. The Role Manage the process of hiring out and returning KOHLER & SDMO generator sets to clients. Conduct regular service and maintenance on generator sets to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Respond to and manage any breakdowns or malfunctions in the generator sets, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to clients. Troubleshoot faults on control panels, including potential replacement if required. Perform Load Banking and mains failure testing on-site as per customer requirements. Stay updated with relevant training and development to enhance technical expertise. Generate detailed and accurate reports in alignment with established standards. Submit daily reports promptly to ensure transparent communication and documentation. Coordinate to schedule repairs and services, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution. Collaborate effectively with the internal service team, fostering professional communication and teamwork. The Person Time served as an engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3. Experience in generators is highly advantageous but not essential. Familiar with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators). Willing to work overtime, including mid-week, weekend shifts, and occasional overnight stays as needed. Able to work on-call when required. Capable of understanding and completing risk assessments. Any experience in a mobile engineering position is attractive. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable communicating via telephone and face-to-face. Capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries. What we can offer you Competitive hourly rates (depending on experience).
