Your qualifications will determine whether we can recruit you as a Generic Therapy Assistant (Band 3) or Assistant Practitioner (Band 4).
Main Duties of the Job The Post Holder will:
Manage a caseload delegated by clinical staff.
Independently undertake basic assessments and interventions relevant to the delegated caseload.
Contribute to the evaluation of programmes and patient progression, making minor alterations in consultation with the Orthopaedic therapy team.
Support the Orthopaedic team with complex cases as required.
Work with team members to ensure the effective functioning of the Orthopaedic team.
Work in partnership with patients, carers, the multi-disciplinary team, and wider statutory, private, and voluntary sector services.
Participate in activities to improve the Orthopaedic Service.
Provide support to other team members and students.
Work flexibly according to patient and service needs.

Person Specification Qualifications
Good general level of education including GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
Relevant Foundation degree, or BTEC higher or QCF level V qualification in health and social care.
Relevant BTEC, QCF or equivalent level III qualification in health and social care.
Courses with relevance to the job e.g., equipment, dementia.
Experience
Recent, relevant experience of working in acute, mental health, or other clinical support worker roles.
Experience of working with people with complex health needs.
Experience of carrying out therapeutic interventions.
Experience of multidisciplinary team working.
Experience of working independently.
Experience in the use of IT applications.
Experience of working in therapy services.
Experience of project work.
Experience of supervising and supporting others.
Evidence of therapy competencies.
Knowledge
Knowledge of the impact illness and disability have on function.
Knowledge of discharge planning.
Knowledge of the roles of other professionals and the principles of partnership working.
Knowledge of relevant clinical assessments and treatments.

Current UK Driving Licence.
Access to own transport.
