Excellent opportunity at SME ground investigation consultancy who are looking for a new Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in Henley on Thames.
Overview
Our client is a small, dynamic company of dedicated Chartered Environmental Surveyors and Geotechnical Engineers. They provide Contamination and Geotechnical Ground Investigation services to the land, property and construction sector to Private Clients, Regional Property Developers, Pension Funds and Commercial Property Investors.
This is a small company who look to progress their staff organically and are looking for a team player who can demonstrate dedication as well as a relevant degree. The role would suit a consultant who is capable of working independently and would like a move away from a very corporate organisation to work in a friendly, family feel environment.
This role involves a mix of office and site work (most of the sites are within one and a half hours of the office location).
Responsibilities
Soil sampling
Soil logging
Transfer of logs to office
Report writing
Site supervision
Liaising with contractors/drillers/client
Requirements
Ideal applicant will hold a relevant Geology/Geotechnical/Earth Sciences degree – or similar
Minimum 3 years’ background in a similar position
Full driving licence
On offer
Salary £30,000 – £35,000
Pool car available or mileage
