January 2024 Supply Desk is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our dynamic school in the Aylesbury area (Buckinghamshire). As a Geography Teacher, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire students, fostering their understanding and appreciation of the world around them. The school: The school has achieved a “Good” Ofsted report, with ambitious aims and objectives to improve towards outstanding. It is committed to raising standards and increasing levels of attainment by providing excellent facilities and resources for learning and progression. The role: Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Teach and facilitate discussions on various geographical topics, including physical geography, human geography, environmental issues, and global perspectives. Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities within the classroom. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and curiosity. The Ideal Candidate: Teaching certification or qualification in Geography Education. Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, theories, and current global issues. Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students' interest in geography.
