GSL Education is partnering with a well-respected secondary school in Leicester to recruit a motivated Geography Teacher who can engage students with the wonders of our planet and help them understand the importance of geographical knowledge in today’s world. About the Role: As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover a wide range of geographical topics, including physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global development, to students aged 11-16. Your lessons will encourage critical thinking, analysis, and a deep understanding of the world’s diverse landscapes and cultures. You will also assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s geography curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive geography lessons, aligned with the national curriculum. Inspire students to explore geographical concepts, from physical landscapes to human interactions with the environment. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential. Work closely with the Geography department to enrich curriculum content and teaching methods. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement and curiosity about the world. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Geography or a related subject. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on educational best practices.
