Geoquip Marine is a market leading Marine Geotechnical Investigation company pivotal to the global roll out of offshore renewable energy and achievement of net zero. Already having achieved considerable expansion recently, you will join an expanding team of energetic and aspiring engineers in a rapidly growing and globally important market. You will be an integral part of Geoquip’s ability to service our many clients’ technical needs and become actively involved in progressing the Engineering Department’s capabilities.
In this position you will report to the Senior Engineer overseeing the planning and management of the geotechnical aspects of offshore wind farm site investigations. The role will be split between offshore site supervision work on one of our many vessels spread across the globe, and desk-based reporting work in our fantastic office situated in the heart of Central Bristol, UK.
As well as onshore working from the office and the laboratory the position will entail going offshore for between 120 and 180 days a year comprising multiple trips of 4 to a maximum of 6 weeks, to be fully engaged in data gathering operations. This requirement is intrinsic to the role and as such you must be signed fit to work offshore or on our vessels. Offshore you will be responsible for the collection, interrogation and quality assurance of the soils data and testing results collected at the locations explored by our drilling activities. Onshore you will form part of a team specifying, scheduling, procuring, monitoring and interpreting complex laboratory testing campaigns combined with detailed interpretation and resulting parameterisation of in-situ testing data, ultimately leading to the delivery of final reporting to satisfy our many offshore renewables clients.
Progression within Geoquip Geotechnical Engineering Department is available for the right candidates either within a technical role or developing into more Project Management role when sufficient experience is gained. The choice is yours and we will support you in every way possible.
If you think you have what it takes to make a difference and use your Geo Engineering knowledge to contribute to solving humanity’s greatest threat yet, we’d love to hear from you.
