Geotechnical Engineer focuses on supporting the delivery of geotechnical and infrastructure design projects, with a strong focus on trenchless technology and underground works.
What the role involves
- Supporting the delivery of geotechnical and infrastructure design projects, with a strong focus on trenchless technology and underground works.
- Assisting with geotechnical design and assessment for HDD, TBM.
- Support ground investigations, including scoping investigation requirements, preparing investigation plans, reviewing exploratory hole locations, and coordinating with contractors.
- Preparing Geotechnical Interpretative Reports, GIRs, including ground models.
- Design parameters, geotechnical risks, recommendations.
- Supporting assessments for bore alignment, settlement, ground movement, excavation stability, shaft stability, temporary works, and constructability.
Skills and requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a closely related discipline.
- Suitable for candidates with1+ years’ experience at Placement or Graduate Engineer level, or candidates already working at Engineer level.
- Experience or strong interest in infrastructure, trenchless technology, utilities, rail, highways, water, civils, earthworks, or temporary works.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and technical documentation.
