We are working with a key client who sits within the ground investigation arena, a key player within an industry where they are at the forefront of development and opportunity. Our client is eager to recruit an experienced geotechnical estimator who will focus on geotechnical investigation.

Key expectations:

Compile and submit tenders, ensuring all tender correspondence is recorded and logged. Review contents of tender preparation, prepare queries and clarifications, and deal with subcontract tender submissions.

Key daily tasks: Prepare bills of quantities and schedules of rates for tender applications. Keep close track of mark-ups and margins for each project. Be heavily involved with the pre-construction team. Attend pre-contract meetings and speak with construction professionals. Review and submit the majority of pre-construction tenders. Report daily and weekly to the Estimating Manager.

Minimum requirements: The ideal candidate needs to have 2-3 years of site experience in ground engineering, fulfilling an estimating role. Possess knowledge and flair for the construction industry, ideally with contracts (ICE and NEC) experience. In order to be successful, a geotechnical or structural engineering background is essential, along with estimating knowledge. Candidates with quantity surveying experience and geotechnical experience are encouraged to apply. The ability to write cost proposals and ensure deadlines are met is crucial. IT skills are essential for the success of this role; candidates must be comfortable with Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics 365, and be adept with various bid and answer platforms. This role is challenging and offers an abundance of career development opportunities.
