Full GMC Registration with a license to practice Experience in the management of a broad range of physical disorders in older adults, including end-of-life care. At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies Main Duties of the Job

You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to older adult people with physical health needs, within a community-based inpatient setting. Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases. Provide guidance and supervision to the team. Work directly with older adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external older adult health providers and acute hospitals. Work alongside 2wte Consultant Geriatricians and 0.4wte Specialty Doctor within the service. Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care. Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies. Person Specification
