We are now looking for a GIS consultant to advance their career with our growing, highly successful organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a person with a strong background in GIS, data and mapping to advance their career working across all of our growing and highly successful business sectors. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Geography or Environmental Sciences with a strong geospatial component preferably with at least 1 years post graduate experience within a consultancy environment. They will be a well-rounded geospatial consultant with a broad knowledge of geospatial technology, experienced in providing GIS support across various disciplines through the implementation of technical workflows and delivering high quality outputs. They will also have: Experience of the ESRI ArcGIS platform including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Understanding of cartography with creativity to produce high quality map outputs Ability to perform spatial analysis Excellent data management and quality assurance skills with experience of gathering geospatial data from a variety of sources Experience in the creation of interactive web maps and applications Interest in developing skills in python or other scripting languages Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to function as part of multi-disciplinary teams An understanding of emerging geospatial trends and technologies Ability to knowledge share and bring new ideas to the team In addition, it would be desirable to have the following: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or other graphical design software Experience in other GIS software such as QGIS Ability to automate geospatial processes Ability to knowledge share and bring new ideas to the team Ability to prepare and deliver presentation materials in support of marketing and sales As a member of the PJA team, you can expect: An attractive and modern working environment with good accessibility by all modes of transport The opportunity to progress quickly within the firm A wide range of challenging projects Ongoing support, training and mentoring from senior professionals within the business with a real commitment from senior management towards personal and professional development We also offer an attractive benefits package that includes: 25 Days annual leave plus the ability to purchase additional days Hybrid working arrangements Option to participate in the Company Share Ownership scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Payment of professional subscription Membership of our group pension scheme Life Assurance How to Apply If you would like to be considered for this role, then please email your CV and a covering letter to recruit@pja.co.uk
