Excellent leadership and influencing skills. Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills, translating to relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. About the Job

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business. As a Global Contracts Negotiator, you will be responsible for oversight and assistance of the contractual needs for all aspects of building Google's Cable Landing Stations (gCLS) globally. You will take a leadership role in working with peers, managers, internal stakeholders, and executives of Google and general contractor partners. You will prioritize and ensure that our delivery teams' contractual needs are fulfilled, negotiate contracts to protect Google's rights while ensuring consistency in contracting and contract performance, oversee contract administration across all projects, and interface with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will have knowledge of construction agreements, including design-build, design-assist, design-bid-build, and others, as well as demonstrated commercial acumen to understand how construction agreements assist and structure. Responsibilities

Develop Global pre-qualification criteria and process in conjunction with Google Procurement Organization guidelines. Develop and execute agreement strategies through collaboration with Google delivery and procurement teams. Lead negotiation and execution of Google Marketing Platforms (GMPs) and construction agreements for a variety of stakeholder groups to ensure on-time delivery of projects. Support key contractual requirements for delivery teams, including scope amendments, change orders, and dispute resolution. Develop and maintain vendor readiness across construction contractors, construction and project management services and specialist consultants. Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce that is representative of the users we serve, creating a culture of belonging, and providing an equal employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding), expecting or parents-to-be, criminal histories consistent with legal requirements, or any other basis protected by law. Google is a global company and, in order to facilitate efficient collaboration and communication globally, English proficiency is a requirement for all roles unless stated otherwise in the job posting.
