Role purpose The Head of Global Retail Training and Capability (Maternity Cover) is responsible for managing the delivery of the Global Retail Training and Capability strategy, elevating category expertise (with a particular focus on Skincare and Fragrance), driving optimal performance across retail. Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensures the delivery of the 2025 Global Retail Training & Capability Strategy as agreed with all key Global Stakeholders. Ensure team and individual commitment to delivering initiatives on time as agreed and communicated.

Manages the planning, implementation and evaluation of consistent globally relevant learning and capability solutions for Retail working alongside the Global Retail Capability Manager.

Drives a data and insights mindset amongst the team, to support the agreed initiatives and embed the needs being addressed.

Reinforces the blended learning strategy with Zone Managers, tracking deployment of initiatives, results and impact, alongside the Global Training Design Manager.

Ensure the retail programmes meet their agreed objectives by aligning with senior stakeholders prior to release.

Be the conduit for the Global Retail Training & Capability team, keeping them regularly informed of wider brand communication, initiatives and changes across the business.

Manage and support team workflow and output by remaining in the detail and triaging across the business as required.

Uses data to track, monitor and measure the impact of training initiatives tied to the achievement of company and functional goals. Reports on agreed performance metrics and progress, reinforcing accountability and follow through.

Engages with business and project leads supported by relevant Global Retail Training and Capability Manager.

Continues regular cadence and communication with Zone Training & Performance Managers and Heads of Retail to ensure commitment and follow through of Global initiatives and projects whilst promoting a culture of feedback and learning.

This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract. What we are looking for Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives.

Experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team to ensure exceptional performance, achieving sales targets, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Proven experience in retail operations and training, with a preference for luxury or premium retail environments.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, to drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, data analysis, and presentation creation.
