Job Description

Are you an experienced engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial systems? We're seeking talented individuals to join our client's team as Industrial Boiler Service Engineers, providing expert service, installation, and maintenance for steam boilers, valves, and associated equipment at customer sites across Scotland. Whether you have a background in mechanical, electrical, or gas engineering, all levels of experience are invited to apply. Why Join Our Client? In this dynamic role, you'll get hands-on experience with a range of industrial systems, tackling everything from preventative maintenance to unexpected repairs. You'll work both on-site and in our client's modern workshop, applying your technical skills to solve problems and ensure their customers' systems run smoothly. As our client is committed to your growth, they offer unique opportunities to train others, develop your expertise, and contribute to the improvement of their processes. Key Responsibilities: Install, repair, and commission industrial steam and hot water boiler systems. Provide expert engineering support for maintenance tasks, including diagnosing faults and recommending solutions. Overhaul pressure system valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, and fixtures both on-site and in the workshop. Conduct surveys and service inspections on steam systems, preparing equipment for non-destructive testing. Clean and maintain boiler tubes and biomass systems. Support the on-call rota for contract customers, handling reactive maintenance (this will only happen with fully trained personnel). Train and mentor apprentices and colleagues, sharing your knowledge. Build strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. What You'll Need: Engineering degree (HNC or higher) or equivalent. Ideally hold gas qualifications (COCPI1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A) or 18th Edition Electrical. Experience with steam, hot water, and thermal oil boilers is a plus. Full driving license and willingness to travel across Scotland, including overnight stays. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer service. If you're ready to take on a rewarding role with plenty of growth opportunities and the chance to work on exciting industrial projects, then please contact Lyndsey.
