The Global Lean Leader is responsible for enabling the organization to adopt new lean ways of working through the Catalent Operating System “The Catalent Way”. This role is based at our Swindon site. The Catalent Way is a framework of interlinked simplified and Lean standard processes that bring rigor and discipline into our business to drive sustainable Continuous Improvement –how we plan, execute, improve, and sustain world class performance. This role requires facilitation, change management and leadership skills and involves a high level of travel to Catalent’s manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe. The role is hands on and includes training, coaching and mentoring and enabling our manufacturing sites to address specific issues and improvement targets through the application of lean six sigma tools and techniques. The role will enable sites to adopt The Catalent Way standards and processes bringing efficiency, effectiveness and transparency to the whole organization. The Role: Work as part of an expert team or alone deploying the Catalent Operating model across our network of sites through a workshop, capability building and enabling approach.

With a focus on the lean six sigma tool, techniques and methods enable sites to learn, improve and resolve issues in a sustainable way.

Work in conjunction with the sites to enable them to deliver improvement in our People, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery metrics.

Participate in, facilitate or lead workshops to enable adoption of

The Catalent Way .

Perform deep dives, specific analysis, maturity assessments to support the improvement program.

Prepare standards, best practices and training materials as required.

Maintain a high level of expertise in applicable continuous improvement and change management tools through self-study, practice and self-development.

Partner with other global and on-site CI colleagues to deliver sustainable improvement aligned to business needs.

Write clear, concise and accurate reports to a high standard.

Make effective presentations to enable clear communication and organization understanding.

Build and sustain employee engagement through effective communication, review and listening processes.

Assess sites against The Catalent Way standards and provide expert help where required.

The Candidate: Degree in an appropriate discipline (Scientific, Engineering, Business).

Master Black Belt Certified/ or Black Belt is required.

Extensive experience in the application of lean six sigma tools is a requirement.

Ability to work well within the team with flexibility to switch between roles, leader, facilitator, member as required.

Good change management skills and a desire to help sites achieve and improve.

Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Work domestically and internationally and at times work outside of the core hours to support others working in other geographical time zones.

Desired: Experience in pharmaceuticals and/or other highly regulated environment.

Experience in a combination of operations, quality and continuous improvement roles with direct experience of manufacturing site operations.

cGxP (Current Good Practice) experienced with understanding change control processes.
