We help golf tour operators from around the world create exceptional experiences for their clients to visit Liverpool and Southport to play our world class links golf courses and enjoy the best of Northern hospitality.
The role of Golf Travel Sales Coordinator is a challenging and varied role that requires superb communication skills, an understanding of golf, and excellent organisational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Golf Travel Sales Coordinator will work alongside the England’s Golf Coast Manager to assist golf tour operators with every detail of their client’s experiences.
Trip Planning
Receiving enquiries from golf tour operators and turning them into accurate quotations in a timely fashion.
Working with golf, hotel, and transportation partners to check rates and availability for the customer’s preferred dates.
Selecting and presenting the best golfing itinerary available.
Work with the golf tour operator on any changes / amendments required to hopefully create an itinerary that their customer wants to book.
Book all elements of the trip, including golf, accommodation, and transportation (if required).
Invoice the golf tour operator for deposit payments.
Trip Execution
Invoice the tour operator for final balance payments.
Collect rooming lists from the tour operator to be passed on to the hotel in advance of the group’s arrival.
Provide restaurant recommendations.
Assist the tour operator with anything else that may help them to enhance their client’s experience.
Qualifications / Skills required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with both tour operators and local partners.
Extremely high attention to detail.
A keen knowledge of golf is highly desirable, as is an awareness of the leading courses throughout Great Britain & Ireland.
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
What You Can Expect
A high level of training and support from the England’s Golf Coast Manager will be provided to allow you to develop confidence in building, communicating and modifying client itineraries.
You will be given thorough information on all our partner golf courses and hotels, including tours of all venues, to ensure that you have the necessary knowledge and experience required to assist golf tour operators with selecting the perfect courses and hotels to create exceptional experiences for their clients.
If you are a golfer, you will be encouraged to visit and play our courses periodically to ensure your knowledge of the courses remains up to date.
Competitive salary - £26 - £28k per year dependant on experience.
6% company pension contribution.
33 days annual leave (including bank holidays and Christmas / New Year office closure).
35-hour work week, with some flexibility in how the hours are worked.
