Location: HMP Winchester, Romsey Rd, Winchester SO22 5DF Salary: £41,818.21 per annum Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week We are seeking an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer (Plumber) to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B local, adult male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues, including other Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference in creating a safe and secure environment. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with the following qualifications: Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent Good Health & Safety knowledge Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you!
