Our Data Scientists work on key areas like credit risk, fraud detection, pricing, and customer engagement, with

machine learning

driving over

98%

of our lending decisions today. At Zopa, you’ll quickly

see the impact

of your work, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and

develop

advanced technical skills. Our Data Science team are centralised and work across the business, so you will get to work across the

full product landscape . You will gain expertise in data processing, exploratory analysis, model development, and, as you grow, be encouraged to

bring your ideas to life

and even present your models to senior leadership. We will help you build your toolkit to become a

Full Stack Data Scientist , which means as you develop you will

not only build

machine learning models but

deploy them into production too! Lending Strategy

Zopa’s Lending Strategy teams play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s

profitability , working across all our lending products to ensure exceptional lending performance! Every day is different. One day you might be leveraging

risk models

and conducting

hypothesis testing , and the next presenting with Zopa’s senior stakeholders, and collaborating with our product

leaders

to

influence

our lending strategy. You will be supported to develop your

SQL ,

Excel

and

Python

skills, and encouraged to think

creatively

and independently about our business challenges, and within six months many analysts will be driving

their own

projects! You will start your journey working on one part of our lending programme. However, you will have the opportunity to

rotate

cross products to ensure you get

breadth , as well as

depth , across our lending eco-system. The Process

Applications will open on

Monday 16th September

and close on

Friday 18th October . Once you apply, we want you to show us your skills! You will receive a link to complete a short assessment (less than 30 minutes) focused on testing your critical thinking and numerical reasoning skills. If you are successful, we will let you know by the

end of October , and we will invite you to one of our in-person interview sessions in

November . Before the interviews, you will be invited to our Graduate Analyst Webinar. You will learn from our leaders in Data Science and Lending Strategy as they share further insight into the role, our journey and their expertise on how to prepare for your interview. Our in-person interviews will take place at our offices near London Bridge. You will sit two supervised case studies, have a tour of our offices and enjoy lunch with some of our previous graduates! The final interviews will take place in

December

and offers will land

before the end of the year ! The salary for our Graduate Analysts is £42,000 per year, with up to 10% discretionary bonus .
