You will be supporting a small class, working in partnership with the school's teaching staff and support staff team to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' language acquisition. You will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) and deliver interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs both in a small group and 1:1. This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology routes. Job Role and Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students Provide behaviour and pastoral support Build robust and effective relationships with students Meet the individual needs of students with a practical approach Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills Exhibit caring, compassionate, and good listening skills Work 1:1 and in small groups with students Ensure the safeguarding of students Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD Additional Information: Start date: ASAP Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure the safeguarding of all students. Salary: £90-110 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:00, term time only. No previous experience is required; if you have a Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree, it's an excellent use of your degree.
