Graduate Business Change Analyst Officer

There is an exciting opportunity to join the Kent County Council as a Graduate Business Change Analyst Officer and join the Analytics team within the Strategic Policy, Relationships, and Corporate Assurance division. Your main responsibilities will include supporting continuous improvement and efficiency across the Council, developing transformation capabilities to support service change and continuous improvement, and working with colleagues in directorates to identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the Council’s services. You will also need to work with colleagues in directorates to implement these opportunities for improvement, which will in turn improve outcomes for customers and reduce costs. Building strong and collaborative relationships across the directorates and within the Council to improve communication and teamwork is also important. You will accelerate your own development by being open to and acting upon feedback on your outputs and performance, while also giving feedback and support to colleagues. Managing deliverables and project workstreams is essential to ensure deadlines are met. You will also apply analytical skills that you learned in workplace settings using evidence-led methods. If you are someone who is confident and motivated to deliver results within a fast-paced, complex environment, Kent County Council is the place for you. You will need good written, presentational, and communication skills, the ability to prioritise and manage time as well as workload to meet deadlines without compromising on standards, and the ability to demonstrate teamwork and build effective working relationships. Having good problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding solutions and making decisions based on evidence, are also important. You will need to be proficient in IT, which means being familiar with using spreadsheets, word processing, and MS365, as well as being open to adopting new technology when required. An understanding of local government and a commitment to working in the public sector is also required. A willingness to work towards the Improvement Practitioner apprenticeship is essential.
