Monday 1st September 2025 Entry Requirements: You must have the permanent Right to Work in the UK BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2:2 Milestone Infrastructure is the UK's leading highways maintenance provider, managing 48,000 km of roads, 300,000 lighting assets, and 20,000 miles of footways. We focus on sustainable practices and community impact. We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team and learn from experienced engineers. You will be responsible for the daily control, management, and coordination of design and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: The design of highway structures (bridges, retaining walls, culverts, etc.) Assessment of highway structures for load capacity Utilise relevant structures design software Undertake designs (new builds & maintenance) and produce design packages for construction Produce technical reports and other outputs to achieve project outcomes Conduct site visits, surveys, and investigations Ensure compliance with QSE standards and processes Provide technical training/supervision of Technicians Collaborate with customers to understand and develop project objectives Skills and Experience: Knowledge of structures analytical software (desirable) Knowledge of National Highways standards (preferred) Understanding of Health and Safety and Construction Design Management (CDM) Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD (desirable) UK full driving license compulsory An offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Check.
