As a consultant you will have the opportunity to deliver solutions that help our clients with their pathways to net zero. This will include strategic and site level analysis. About the role You will develop and deliver solutions that help our clients to monitor and reduce energy use and carbon emissions. This will include strategic and site level support. As part of the role HDR provides support for continued professional development and career progression. This helps us to maintain our position as a world leading sustainability team. You will work on a range of exciting projects with high-profile clients. We work in a wide range of sectors including tech/media/telecoms, datacentres, commercial/corporate real estate, finance, healthcare, education, hotels & leisure, industrial, transport and mixed-use. Our services are varied but include: Energy and Resource efficiency assessments (including ESOS compliance) Sustainable design, construction, operation and refurbishment of buildings (including relevant rating systems) Development of Environmental & Energy Management Systems (ISO14001/ISO50001) Verification of Corporate Sustainability Reporting (including SECR) Regulatory compliance activity such as UK Emissions Trading System and Environmental Permitting About you We are looking for candidates who are passionate and motivated, and who are interested in making a difference. It is important that you have are personable, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and can establish rapport and good working relationships with colleagues and clients. We are looking for candidates who want to excel, and who are keen to become leaders in their chosen areas of specialism. Since Energy and Sustainability is such a wide field, we do not expect candidates to have existing expertise or experience in all areas. For example, you may have a particular interest in a topic such as: Environmental Management and Continual Improvement Sustainable Development and the Built Environment The role will have the opportunity for further career progression. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering or closely related field A minimum of 2 years experience Understanding of mechanical systems and controls and knowledge Ability to develop detailed energy models with eQuest or other simulation software Experience working within the architectural design process Understanding of energy-efficient commercial lighting systems Availability to travel out of state Excellent writing and documentation skills Proficient with Microsoft Office programs Ability to work in a team environment An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
