About the Opportunity

The role will provide the opportunity to become fluent in a wide range of environmental regulatory requirements as they apply to our clients and will involve developing the skills and knowledge to assess our clients’ operations and activities in the context of compliance with these regulations and requirements, and to identify practical recommendations to improve performance or achieve compliance as necessary. You will also be undertaking a range of desk-top analysis and confirmatory site visits to support our environmental compliance assurance team and our environmental permitting team.

The role will provide the opportunity to support on detailed technical applications for environmental permits, typically for industrial or commercial properties, but with the anticipated increase in opportunities in the green transition space. Further to this, the role typically provides a mix of desk-based and client site-based activities and will give you the opportunity to see many facilities first hand and to gain an excellent understanding of industrial and commercial facility operations from an environmental compliance and permitting perspective.

For this role, we believe your starting point is:

A Bachelors or Masters level degree in a topic such as Sustainability, Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Law/Policy or Chemical Engineering

Experience with IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;

Numerically competent;

Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written;

Excellent report writing skills

Selection Process:

We aim to have applications shortlisted by the beginning of March and we will invite successful candidates to an assessment centre at the beginning of April in our Birmingham office.
