Job Description

Join our dynamic cybersecurity team at esure Group, where you will play a key role in safeguarding our information systems and networks from security breaches and cyber threats. You’ll be at the forefront of our defence strategy by actively responding to security events, driving continuous improvements, and conducting detailed security assessments. Your expertise will help ensure the resilience and protection of our digital assets in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

The day to day:

  • Act as a core member of an impactful DevSecOps team, responsible for managing security integrations across Esure.
  • Support security initiatives, incident response, and resolution across esure.
  • Assist in maintaining and supporting IT operations, business-as-usual activities, and ongoing projects.
  • Contribute within an Agile environment, using tools like Jira and Jira Service Management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including run books and diagrams.
  • Monitor network infrastructure and cloud environments (PRTG, SNMP, Prometheus) to ensure robust security operations.
  • Improve automation through scripting and infrastructure management using AWS, Azure, OCI, Python, and Terraform.
  • Write and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, and other languages to integrate and optimize security tools.
  • Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Deliver training and education programs to raise information security awareness and promote standard processes across the organisation.
Qualifications

You are a good fit for the role if you have the following

  • Continual passion to learn and inspire.
  • Ability to learn / upskill on cloud networking and cloud security technologies.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • You will need to have a basic understanding cloud networking and cloud security.
  • You will need to have a basic understanding about security in an enterprise setting.

We’d also like to hear if you have

  • Past experiences of security automation including roles like security engineering and security operations. Past security internships are also considered
