We are seeking a Graduate Consultant to support our Energy & Environment business. The ideal candidate will be an ‘all-rounder’ and be enthusiastic to get involved in all aspects of our consultancy offering. This can include research, report writing, outreach/engagement (e.g. workshops), analysis, and modelling. We want someone who is passionate about accelerating decarbonisation. You will possess a bachelor’s degree in a subject that has transferable skills for consultancy. Whilst preferred, our search is not limited to STEM degrees. If you can demonstrate strong skills in key consultancy competencies (e.g. report writing, research), and you have a passion for decarbonisation, then you may be a good fit. Key responsibilities will include: Support our consultancy projects through the delivering of research, reporting writing, presentations, engagement, analysis, and modelling Supporting the wider project delivery team to produce high-quality technical reports for clients Supporting stakeholder engagement during projects such as preparation of material for workshops Undertaking data analysis with support from project managers and more senior project delivery team colleagues Reviewing policy and best practice documents related to energy and net zero Contributing to and producing graphics and visualisations, such as using GIS and Cadence Project management – helping us keep projects on time and on budget Engaging with clients via project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder workshops Supporting the growth of our energy and environment business by contributing to bids and proposals Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with key transferable skills for consultancy (e.g. research, writing, analysis, modelling) A passion for decarbonisation Good people/team and communication skills Very strong report writing skills with the ability to produce clear and robust reports Ability to produce high-quality documents with attention to detail and visual “look and feel” Ability to undertake data analysis Self-motivation and ability to undertake specific tasks with supervision Commercial awareness and willingness to deliver work to time and budget The ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise tasks Enthusiasm to get stuck in all aspects of consultancy Desirable Requirements: STEM degree, or sustainability related degree Proficiency in data analysis using one or more packages (e.g. Excel, Python, GIS) Rewards & Benefits: Remote first with flexible working arrangements Opportunity for career progression Opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the consultancy business Paid membership of a maximum of two institutions 25 days annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays and annual leave buy and sell policy Enhanced Maternity and Paternity policy Membership of our group pension scheme CycleScheme Group Life Assurance Employee Assistance Program Eyecare vouchers Unfortunately, City Science does not hold a license to sponsor visas.
