As a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of projects, gaining hands-on experience in site investigations, contaminated land assessments, and environmental desk studies. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants, receiving training and mentorship to develop your skills and knowledge in the industry. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of site investigations, including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring. Conduct desk studies, data analysis, and environmental risk assessments under the guidance of senior engineers. Oversee the drilling and excavation of boreholes and trial pits to collect subsurface samples. Supervise and direct drilling contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Prepare technical reports, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessments. Support the design and implementation of remediation strategies for contaminated sites. Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Participate in site visits and fieldwork, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in geo-environmental engineering. Requirements A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in environmental engineering. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or other relevant software is a plus. A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence is essential.
