With a track record of success and growth, Origin has secured significant contract wins over the past 12 months and is seeking a talented Geospatial Engineer to join our team. At Origin, you will have the opportunity to work with exciting and innovative products. One such project, Origin Orbit, utilizes satellite remote sensing technologies, machine learning algorithms, and Origin’s expertise in integrity management to provide critical insights for onshore gas and water pipeline operators. Another exciting product is Origin No Dig, an award-winning patented technology which repairs leaks in water pipelines without excavation or needing to know exactly where the leak is. As a Geospatial Engineer, you will contribute to Remote Sensing and GIS data preparation, data management, analysis, mapping, and visualizations. In addition to the products mentioned above, there is ample scope for the development of other R&D related products and involvement in day-to-day project and automation initiatives. The role includes opportunities for career path progression and personal development as you contribute to our ongoing success and growth. Job Specific Skills Experience in industry sectors such as Utilities is ideal, but experience in any other engineering industry would be considered. A higher Bachelors or Masters Degree in Geography, Environmental, Remote Sensing, Survey, Geomatics or Geospatial Engineering is essential. Proficiency in Python. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Java, SQL) is advantageous. Proficiency in Office365, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Consistency and thoroughness in checking and preparing data, as well as in daily tasks, is crucial. Ability to perform routine tasks, as well as engage in research and development to drive projects forward. Job Types:
