Graduate Laboratory Technician

Graduate Science Technician Based in Reading - Must have a short commute and work onsite. Full Time - 36 Hours per week Immediate start available Are you looking to take your first steps into a laboratory environment? Are you a recent graduate? We are seeking a motivated Science Graduate to join our high profile customer in the food research industry. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about scientific research and eager to apply their knowledge in a practical laboratory setting. You will be supporting the Analysts in the laboratory. How you will contribute You will support a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory, support laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy. To succeed in this role, you will maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be proficient in generic and specific software packages. Qualifications: Degree educated in ideally a science discipline What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Working on teams and independently with the guidance of more senior team members Maintaining equipment to ensure they are always operable Applying your technical understanding of equipment to support laboratory operations Recording and reporting data and activity outcome accurately Why work through Contechs?
