Graduate Engineer - Level 1 Engineer

Location: Bedford, MK42 (Onsite everyday)

Role Overview:

As a Level 1 Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping resolve technical issues over the phone or triaging more complex issues to Level 2 Engineers. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our clients’ systems are up and running smoothly, while also gaining valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge healthcare technology.


This is a perfect role for someone who is eager to learn, has great communication skills, and is looking to grow career as an Engineer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and assist customers with diagnostic techniques.
  • Identify and provide the best solutions based on customer issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 Engineers.
  • Track and manage case details and customer interactions in our service system.
  • Coordinate with field engineers and manage their schedules.
  • Ensure timely issuance of spare parts requests to support engineers.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective communication.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Recent A-Levels or BTEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
  • Customer Service: You enjoy helping people, are good on the phone, and thrive in solving problems.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and articulate both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work rotating weekly shifts (8-4, 9-5, 10-6).
  • Adaptability: Able to learn new processes quickly, think creatively, and handle multiple tasks.
  • License: You must have a valid UK driving license.
