Graduate Management AccountantWe have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join our Finance Team, on a full time permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our office in Coleshill.Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the Graduate Management Accountant will work within the group finance function and support the business as it goes through a period of change and rapid growth. The business has ambitious plans and are looking for an equally motivated individual to support them on their journey. This opportunity would suit a confident, solutions orientated individual who doesn't shy away from a challenge. This role will offer huge scope for progression, with exposure to partnering across the business and the option for study support. Key responsibilities/accountabilities;· Maintain the systems and processes for producing the management accounts· To maintain up to date and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations and analyses· Create and post journals covering the following areas, sales, stock, property, fixed assets and others· Creation and collation of information and monthly results to ensure accurate and detailed financial information is available for the business management team in a timely fashion· To manage continued improvement in the efficiency, relevance, quality and consistency of accounting and reporting· Ad-hoc duties and projects · Help develop new reporting in excel, dashboards & financial summaries · Ensure all KPI’s & month-end reporting deadlines are met· Suggest ways to develop finance processes to ensure controls are robust & in line with requirements of the business Knowledge, skills & experience;· Graduate calibre with strong academics· Part Qualified accountant within practice or industry or looking to start study· Applied knowledge of the principles and practices of business reporting· Experience of working with a SAGE finance system an advantage· Confident communicator (both verbal and written) with a personable and professional manner and the ability to interact and relate to all levels of employees and build strong working relationships. · Efficient time management & organisational skills · High level attention to detail· Ability to stay calm in difficult situations· Proactive approach to using initiative· Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and understanding when handling sensitive situations and information. · Good judgment and decision making skills.
