Overview

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Graduate Projects Engineer on behalf of a global market leader in combustion management systems. Established over 50 years, they are the largest distributor in Europe for Ray Burners. They offer installation, service, and maintenance services to a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational, and leisure.

As the Graduate Projects Engineer, you will join the contracts team in the service department, assisting with overseeing project installations alongside the Contracts Manager. We are looking for an experienced professional with proficient knowledge of the job area and practical knowledge of project management. You may manage projects or processes with general supervision and communicate with contacts inside and outside of your department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.

This is a permanent position, based in Biggin Hill, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This role will include travel to client sites. The salary is between £30k – £35k per annum. Responsibilities

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Coordinate project activities and resources.

Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.

Ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulations.

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.

Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of equipment and systems.

Communicate project status.

Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Resolve conflicts and address concerns.

Identify and assess potential risks.

Develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.

Ensure that projects meet quality standards and specifications.

Implement quality control measures.

Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Manage budgets and negotiate contracts.

Ensure projects are completed within budget.

Skills & Attributes

Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

CAD knowledge would be beneficial.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Interest in the environment, sustainability, and decarbonisation.

Interest in engineering, technology, and manufacturing.

Full UK Driving Licence Required.

A good knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

A high level of attention to detail.

Very self-motivated and possess a willingness to be successful in your career.
