Graduate Quality Assurance Engineer

Graduate Quality Assurance Engineer focuses on maintaining and govern the iso 9001:2015 management system, ensuring effectiveness through structured auditing and compliance with customer and legislative requirements.

What the role involves

• Maintaining and govern the ISO 9001:2015 management system, ensuring effectiveness through structured auditing and compliance with customer and legislative requirements.
• Monitoring and verify consistent implementation of quality policies and practices, including compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and customer specifications.
• Driving continuous improvement of metallurgy processes, systems, and SOPs in line with national, international, and customer standards.
• Managing non-conformance processes (NCRs, SDRs, SAP reporting), ensuring traceability, defect control, and timely resolution of quality issues.

Skills and requirements

• Support material and component verification, including interpretation of certification (chemical analysis, heat treatment, NDT, coatings, etc.).

Confirmed role details

• Up to £35,000 depending on experience.
• 5 hours per week.
• 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays + up to 12 additional flex days.
• Company pension contributions of up to 8%.

Candidate fit

• Supporting supplier quality, documentation, KPI reporting (including COPQ), and cross-functional communication, contributing to operational performance and compliance.

Additional role context

• Work collaboratively within a multi-functional metallurgy and quality team, supporting project delivery and ensuring robust quality governance.
• A basic understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and relevant quality standards.
• Recently graduated with a BEng in Material Science or similar.
