Your new role In this role you will be involved at all stages of projects, from initial estimates and budgets, through to delivering pre- and post-contract work. You will support senior Quantity Surveyors and further team growth. Through working with experienced individuals, you will gain valuable insight into: Quantification of construction works and activities Cost estimating Cost planning Value engineering Procurement Tendering Post-contract cost control Administration of different forms of construction contract
What you'll need to succeed The consultancy are looking for a hard-working and ambitious graduate who should blend seamlessly into the team. A degree in Quantity Surveying plus 2 years experience in a similar role is essential. Other key-skills needed for this role are: Clear and effective communication skills – both oral and written Methodical way of thinking and approach to work Good organisation, problem-solving and negotiating skills Financial and numeracy management skills Sound ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work as part of a team.
