The Opportunity Prime Workforce is currently recruiting for a Graduate Roads Engineer to join BEAR Scotland’s team. Based in their North West Network team, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to contribute to road maintenance and improvement projects while receiving training and development in all aspects of road engineering. Key Responsibilities

Assist in the Design and Maintenance of Roads: Support senior engineers in the design, maintenance, and upgrading of road infrastructure projects, including the preparation of technical reports, designs, and plans. Survey and Inspection Support: Participate in road condition surveys, inspections, and assessments to identify issues and propose solutions. Assist in Project Management: Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of road maintenance and improvement projects, including liaising with contractors and suppliers. Compliance and Standards: Assist in ensuring compliance with technical standards and guidelines related to road design, construction, and maintenance. Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients. Document Management: Assist in the production and management of project documentation, ensuring proper record-keeping and version control. Skills and Experience

Qualifications: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of road design and construction principles, and a willingness to develop expertise in road infrastructure. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams. Problem-Solving Ability: An analytical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail. Adaptability: A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
