Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team within a developing business hoping to change the face of property sales and lettings across the country and perhaps the world! The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and development methodologies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement software solutions using languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript. Must be skilled in Stack, Next.js, MySQL (Prisma), AWS, Vercel. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Maintain and improve existing software applications by troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements. Work with APIs to integrate different systems and services. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Utilise version control systems such as SVN for managing code changes. Write clear documentation for software functionality and development processes. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Qualifications Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, and familiarity with .NET framework. Experience with software development methodologies and practices. Knowledge of VBA is a plus. Understanding of APIs and their integration into applications. Familiarity with version control systems like SVN is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
