Are you a recent Graduate Engineer seeking a new and exciting opportunity as a Graduate Structural Engineer? My Client is a consulting engineering practice that provides a full range of services to Clients within the Civil, Structural, Geo-environmental, and Transportation sectors. Due to further expansion of their Warwick office, they are seeking a recent Graduate Engineer to join their highly experienced, dynamic, and skilled team, assuring excellent career progression for the right person! Overview As a Graduate Structural Engineer, your role will comprise the production of structural calculations and drawings in accordance with British Standard design codes, Eurocodes, Building Regulations, and Network Rail standards, either by hand or using design software for Clients, external professionals, and regulatory authorities. This role offers the perfect foundations from which you can really thrive and progress with your career as a Graduate Structural Engineer! Main Duties : Prepare structural engineering designs and drawings, specifications, reports, and general correspondence. Liaise and communicate with the structures design team, other disciplines, and external clients. Deliver work to agreed timeframes and specifications. Check structural calculations and drawings. Liaise & communicate with external professionals. Attend external meetings, representing my Client and undertake site inspections as required. Required Experience / Qualifications You will be recently qualified with an appropriate degree within the "built environment" discipline and keen to progress with your professional qualifications with the ICE, IStructE, or similar professional body. You will have a strong mathematical mindset and the ability to produce basic structural calculations and designs for basic structural members in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or timber. Understanding of soil design would be ideal and knowledge of foundation design. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage your workload effectively and professionally.
