The ideal candidate will be expected to effectively communicate with colleagues, foster strong working relationships, and consistently deliver high-quality designs.

Your role as a Graduate Structural Engineer includes:

Develop and present innovative design solutions. Ensure all designs meet environmental, legal, health, and safety guidelines and requirements. Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior engineers and clients. Produce calculations and drawings for building control submissions. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, site managers, and clients to ensure project success. Undertake structural calculations, both manually and using computer design software, as directed by senior engineers. Assist in the preparation of specifications and working drawings. Conduct site inspections, as requested by senior engineers, to ensure work aligns with project schedules and designs. Support senior engineers and structural engineering managers in their duties. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the properties and strengths of materials such as steel, timber, and brick, ensuring they are used appropriately. Use structural simulation software to model designs and assess how structures will perform under various conditions. Inspect existing buildings and recommend repairs or demolition, as necessary. To be successful in this Graduate Structural Engineering role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A strong passion for structural design. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is desirable but not essential. At least 1 year of experience with a consultancy firm. Excellent verbal, written, and email communication skills.
