Unlock your passions at Robson & Prescott Veterinary Surgeons Robson and Prescott Veterinary Surgeons are a group of veterinary practices located in Morpeth, Alnwick, Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth, Seaton Delaval and West Moor. You will be based at our main hospital in Morpeth until comfortable and competent to do 1-2 days at branch each week. Morpeth is a busy market town with an array of shops and restaurants, a new purpose-built leisure facility and library. It is located on the East coast mainline, 20 minutes from Newcastle with access to theatres, bars and the airport. The stunning coastline of Northumberland with its beautiful beaches is only 10 minutes away with the Cheviot hills providing walking, climbing and mountain biking only 20 minutes West. We have a large, supportive and friendly team which includes 28 Vets and 25 Nurses as well as fantastic support and administrative teams. Within the team, we have certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Behaviour, Exotics and Cardiology. We are an 8-site practice based out of a large purpose built hospital on the outskirts of Morpeth. The hospital comprises 4 operating theatres, radiography, dental and ultrasound suites. We have separate wards for cats, dogs, small mammals and exotics. Our 6 consult rooms are available all day with streams of both Vet and Nurse consults. We provide our own OOH, and the hospital is staffed 24/7 by a Vet and Nurse team. The branches consist of sites where we have operating facilities and consult only branches. Step into a supportive start 40 hours per week over a 4 day week. The OOH contribution is one night every 3 weeks and one weekend every 5 weeks. This is either one 24-hour Saturday shift or one Saturday shift working 8:30am - 5:30pm and one Sunday 24 hour shift every 5 weeks alternating. You will join a large team of supportive Vets who bring a whole range of experience from certificate holders down to other new graduates. Both our Vet and Nurse teams are caring and supportive and our aim is to allow you to develop both your surgical and consulting skills to your full potential.
