Park Issa Vets is a group of two RCVS accredited veterinary practices based in Shropshire and Wrexham. You will be mainly based at our tier three hospital in Oswestry and may be required to work at our branch in Rhosllanerchrugog. We are in the perfect location and you can enjoy the benefits of the Shropshire countryside plus beautiful Welsh hills right on our door step. We are also only approximately 1 hour from Liverpool and 90 minutes from Manchester and Birmingham which are all accessible by train. We have a supportive and friendly team of 7 Vets and 9 Nurses as well as fantastic support and administrative teams. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Medicine, Surgery and Ophthalmology. We also do some basic orthopaedics - fractures, MMPs, Patella's and Lateral sutures. We provide inpatient care to our clients so we have a nurse onsite 24 hours a day, this allows us to remain a hospital and is great for patient care. We pride ourselves in committed client and patient care, we aim to give the best service possible. We are a fully equipped hospital with ultrasound, endoscope, X-ray, 2 operating theatres, dental suite with dental x-ray and Lab which includes an Imagyst scanner. For the eye enthusiasts we have a tonopen, slit lamps and loupes. We have a large garden behind the practice often used to spend sunny lunch breaks or exercising inpatients. 40 hours per week and we can be flexible on the days. You will be part of our weekend rota working 1 weekend in 7, Sat 8:30am – 4:30pm and you will cover inpatients from Friday night until Monday morning. Very infrequently needed for inpatients, experienced nurse at the practice 24/7 giving meds etc. Normal working day 8:30am – 5:30pm. Two later finishes a week of 6:30pm. We are an experienced team; the youngest member is 6 years qualified! The team are lovely and supportive, we encourage clinical discussion and team scanning when we are all scratching our heads! We have Vets who enjoy teaching and there is always another Vet in the building to ask a question and give support and advice if and when needed. Short accommodation assistance available.
