Are you a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching or education? We are currently working with secondary schools in Warrington to join them as soon as possible to support their needs. The work is extremely flexible offering day-to-day, short-term, or long-term positions as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant. These are excellent roles to challenge your facilitation and classroom management skills, and gain knowledge of how a school generally runs. It supports any growth within a career in the educational system, offering support and empathy to students within an important role. Some support roles will require assistance with SEN or behavioral needs.
This role will be challenging at times but will also be extremely rewarding.
Responsibilities:
Provide opportunities to progress academically, socially, and emotionally Lead by example as a role model Lead activity sessions during the day and extracurricular if relevant to degree Understand individuals' personalities and needs Offer guidance and mentoring Have an understanding/interest in school curriculum Use of behavioral system Confidently deliver pre-planned lessons and lead interventions Provide a safe environment to learn Deal with any challenging or disruptive behavior Offer advice and support Develop self-confidence, positive self-image, and independence Assist teachers with class support of 1:1 Be fully compliant with safeguarding policies and procedures Requirements:
Experience working with children in any professional setting Hold the Right to Work in the UK Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
