What the role involves
- Deliver Grid Code compliance studies, including voltage, reactive power, frequency response, and Fault Ride Through (FRT).
- Maintain RMS and EMT models for grid-connected assets.
- Supporting system studies and technical assessments for transmission-level compliance.
- Act as technical interface with NESO (National Energy System Operator) for approvals and technical queries.
- Support site testing and commissioning activities, including witness testing (harmonics, voltage, frequency response, performance validation).
- Conduct post-event analysis and investigation of system disturbances or compliance issues.
Skills and requirements
- Proven experience with RMS and EMT modelling tools and system studies.
- Transmission system operator processes.
- Familiarity with NESO.
- Strong understanding of HV power systems, ideally including BESS and/or conventional generation.
