Grid Connection Project Manager – Remote with travel! Earthstream is partnered with an international renewables business that focuses on developing and building utility scale projects, with a strong pipeline across the UK, and who are now seeking an experienced Grid Connection Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of grid connection strategies for these projects. The successful Grid Connection PM will play a critical role in securing, managing, and optimising grid connections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while collaborating with key stakeholders, including transmission and distribution network operators (TNOs/DNOs), regulatory bodies, and project developers. Key Responsibilities Grid Connection Strategy:

Develop and implement grid connection strategies for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, battery storage, and other power generation assets. Application & Compliance:

Manage the grid application process, ensuring all necessary permits, grid studies, and technical assessments comply with regulatory frameworks. Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with network operators, regulators, and industry bodies to negotiate and secure grid connection agreements. Project Management:

Oversee grid-related aspects of project development, from early-stage feasibility through to construction and commissioning. Regulatory & Policy Compliance:

Stay up to date with evolving energy regulations, grid codes, and connection policies, ensuring projects remain compliant and competitive. Risk Management:

Identify risks related to grid connections and propose mitigation strategies to optimize costs and timelines. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering, finance, and project development teams to align grid connection strategies with broader business objectives. Key Requirements: Proven experience in grid connection management, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage, etc.). Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution networks, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks. Experience dealing with network operators (TNOs, DNOs, TSOs) and securing grid connection agreements. Strong Project Management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Qualification in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Ability to travel countrywide to project sites and occasionally be in the office.
