Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to groundskeeping, including building, digging, and maintaining garden areas. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in ensuring that our landscapes are well-kept and aesthetically pleasing.
Duties
Build and maintain garden structures and features.
Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, weeding, and pruning.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Dig trenches for irrigation systems and other landscaping needs.
Irrigate garden areas as required to ensure healthy plant growth.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and work areas.
Assist in the installation of landscaping elements such as pathways, patios, and fencing.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
Skills
Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues when necessary.
Experience in groundskeeping practices, including landscape maintenance techniques.
Ability to dig effectively for various landscaping projects.
Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A proactive approach to problem-solving in outdoor environments.
Physical stamina to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions.
