Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader? Our client is seeking a dedicated Ground Maintenance Leader to join their team working on several mobile commercial contracts. As a Grounds Maintenance Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clients' contracts run smoothly and successfully and running a yard ensuring the highest of standards are met.

Responsibilities:

Mowing lawns, trimming edges, and maintaining grass areas to ensure they are neat and well-presented. Pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes to maintain their health and appearance. Planting flowers, trees, and other greenery as directed by supervisors. Watering plants, lawns, and other green spaces as needed. Identifying and removing weeds from flowerbeds, pathways, and other areas. Reporting any equipment malfunctions or damage to supervisors for repair or replacement. Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when handling chemicals or operating equipment. Leading a team of grounds maintenance staff, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Assigning daily tasks and responsibilities to team members based on priorities, deadlines, and skill levels. Planning and organizing work schedules to ensure all ground maintenance duties are carried out on time. Providing training to team members on proper ground maintenance techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and any relevant regulations or guidelines. Ensuring that all ground maintenance work meets established standards of quality and safety. Conducting regular inspections of grounds and facilities to identify areas for improvement and address any issues promptly. Assisting in the development and management of the ground's maintenance budget, including tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and making recommendations for resource allocation. Serving as a liaison between the ground's maintenance team and other departments or stakeholders, communicating relevant information, coordinating efforts, and addressing any concerns or requests. Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promoting a culture of safety awareness and implementing measures to mitigate risks associated with ground maintenance activities. Resolving issues or conflicts that may arise within the team or during ground maintenance operations. Maintaining accurate records of ground maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, equipment inspections, and incident reports. Generating reports as needed to track progress, document accomplishments, and provide insights for future planning.

Qualifications: Full UK Driver's License is essential. 2 years in the industry. Experience in pedestrian and ride-on mowing, hedge cutting, hand weeding, and all general aspects of grounds maintenance. Willing to work by themselves when required. Team player. Pa1 Pa6 spraying license. Good knowledge of general health and safety.
