Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Ground Maintenance Team Leader to oversee our ground maintenance operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our outdoor spaces are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and functional. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various hand and power tools, as well as a passion for landscape maintenance. Duties Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Plan and execute ground maintenance activities, including mowing, strimming, and weeding. Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or improvement. Complete visual inspections of machinery and equipment. Share information regarding plant/machinery usage with Supervisor and peers to maximise optimisation. Solve customer complaints or escalate as required. Requirements Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Ability to dig, maintain gardens, irrigate landscapes, and perform general groundskeeping tasks. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. A valid driving licence is required for travel between sites.
