Groundworks Manager

to join the team at this exciting time of growth. You will be looking after sites within the Chester and local area and must have extensive residential site experience. Your new role

Permanent full-time Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the construction site, including subcontractors, health and safety of personnel, quality and workmanship of labour. Responsible for the overall management and day-to-day running of groundworks operations/up to slab. Developing a short-term programme/schedule to maximise efficiency and ensure completion is in accordance with the master's programme. Manage responsibility for all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Management of subcontractors, managing our teams, dealing with any issues as and when required. Working collaboratively with site engineers to ensure that line and level is provided in a timely manner. Quality management of all substructure work, including drainage, foundations, roads etc. Responsible for all document control as an integral part of the project control. Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies and procedures. What you'll need to succeed

Must be able to use own initiative, take accountability and responsibility for a project from start to finish. Deadline driven, instilling motivation in the team to hit key targets. 5+ years experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Groundworks Manager. Current health and safety card (CSCS, SSSTS, SMSTS or equivalent) and a First Aid at Work certificate. Experience in residential builds. Valid 360 Excavator ticket. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel. A full driving licence. Package

Basic Salary: GBP55,000 Bonus up to 8% Van Pension/Private Medical/Life Cover
